When is the NEET PG 2026 admit card actually releasing?

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) revised the admit card release date from 24 August to 25 August 2026, following requests concerning candidates from Assam and Meghalaya and certain other unavoidable circumstances.

This is purely a hall-ticket scheduling change — the examination itself remains on 30 August 2026 as originally planned. If you’ve seen conflicting posts calling this a “postponement,” that’s inaccurate — treat the exam date as fixed and only the admit card timing as revised.

  1. Visit the official NBEMS portal — nbe.edu.in or natboard.edu.in.
  2. Click on the NEET PG 2026 Admit Card link when active.
  3. Select Applicant Login.
  4. Enter your user ID and password (registered credentials).
  5. Your admit card will display on screen — download and print it immediately.
  6. You will also receive an email alert once the admit card is issued; the admit card is not sent by post.

What to verify on your admit card before exam day

Don’t just download and file it away — check every field:

  • Name, photograph, examination centre, and reporting time
  • Exam date and shift timing match what you registered for
  • Category and any special requirements you declared during registration
  • Roll number and application number are printed correctly

If anything looks wrong, raise it with NBEMS immediately — there’s no time to fix errors on exam day itself.

What to carry to the exam centre

Entry requires a printed admit card along with an original government-issued photo ID — Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Passport are all accepted. Additionally:

  • A recent passport-size photograph
  • Photocopy of your Permanent/Provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration
  • Any category or PwD certificates as applicable, per your application

Exam day security — what’s different this year

NEET PG 2026 will run under a multi-layered monitoring framework including CCTV surveillance, biometric verification, candidate frisking, and signal jammers. Arrive early — with this level of screening, last-minute rushes at the gate can cost you real time before your shift starts.

Common issues and quick fixes

  • Admit card link not visible: Confirm NBEMS has officially activated it — check the latest notice rather than assuming a technical fault.
  • PDF not downloading: Clear your browser cache and cookies, or switch browsers.
  • Captcha errors: Refresh and re-enter carefully; captchas expire quickly.
  • Mobile download issues: Switch to a desktop or laptop — the portal is generally more reliable there.
  • Forgotten credentials: Use the credential-recovery option on the NBEMS portal rather than repeatedly guessing your password.

What happens after the exam

NEET PG 2026 results are expected by 30 September 2026, which is also the deadline for candidates to complete their mandatory internship requirement. Counselling through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to begin around September–October, likely across Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up, and Stray Vacancy rounds.
